PRAISE AND WORSHIP TEAM

We invite you to join us as our Praise & Worship team leads us into God's presence at 10:00 am on Sunday mornings and 7 pm on Wednesday evenings.

Psalm 150 says:
"Praise God in His sanctuary;
praise him in His mighty heavens......
Praise Him with the sounding of the trumpet,
praise Him with the harp and lyre,
praise Him with tambourine and dancing,
praise Him with the strings and flute,
praise Him with the clash of symbols,
praise Him with resounding cymbals.
Let everything that has breath praise the Lord."

DANCE MINISTRY

We have a group of approximately 26 women and young girls who worship the Lord in dance. We minister several times a year, in small groups and large. This is a ministry of praise and worship according to Psalms 149:3 ~ "Let them praise His name in the dance: let them sing praises unto Him with the timbrel and harp”

Why do We Dance to the Lord?
To bring honor, glory, and praise to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, through the art of dance and movement. We desire to equip and encourage one another in this ministry for the purpose of worship. Our purpose is to make God's praise glorious and to minister healing, deliverance and joy to the congregation through the Ministry of Dance. Our goal is to introduce Christ to the lost and the broken hearted. We desire to win souls for the Kingdom of God. Through our dance, we release freedom through the anointing on the Holy Spirit, to break the chains of bondage that had the people bound. It is also our goal to train and mentor the younger dancers dedicated to glorifying God. "Let everything that has breath praise the Lord" - Psalm 150:6 You have turned my mourning into dancing; you have taken off my sackcloth and clothed me with joy, so that my soul may praise you and not be silent. O Lord my God, I will give thanks to you forever. Psalms 30:11-12

SUNDAY SCHOOL AND CHILDREN’S CHURCH

Our children are taught the Word of God on Sunday mornings and Wednesday evenings in a way that relates to their life and age. Ages 2 years through 6th grade meet with dedicated teachers for an hour of games, snacks, Bible lesson and prayer.

BABY DEDICATIONS

At Word of Life, we believe that as parents, we have the responsibility to “Train a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not turn from it.” Prov. 22:6

Therefore, when a child is born, the parents bring him or her before the congregation. This is a sign and a promise that they are dedicating themselves to raising their child in the wisdom of the Lord. The pastors then pray over the family and bless them.

NURSERY

Our competent staff is on duty for all normal services on Sundays, Wednesdays, and special services. Babies and toddlers from birth to 2 years old are welcome in our fully equipped Nursery that overlooks the Sanctuary. Sound speakers are available to listen to the sermon. At age 2, the children graduate to Sunday School.

FOOD PANTRY

For our church attendees that have a need, we offer temporary assistance from our Food Pantry. We have basic food staples and will provide a few bags for those that have attended service that day.

J.O.Y.Prison Ministry

J.O.Y. Prison Ministry answers the command of Matt. 25:36 to visit those in prison using "Jesus first, Others next, and You last" to inspire ourselves and the incarcerated.

PURPOSE
J.O.Y. Prison Ministry hosts two weekend retreats per year; one in April and one in October. Each retreat ministers to approximately 100-120 residents each weekend.

Weekend retreats consist of testimonies of Volunteers, prayer services, fellowship and teaching and preaching of the Word. The weekend schedule is:

Sunday
12:30pm - 8:00pm

WOMEN OF EXCELLENCE

The women of Word of Life meet every third Thursday of the month for a meal together, either in a restaurant or someone’s home. After dinner, one of the women shares her testimony of how she became a Christian and what the Lord is doing in her life now. This evening is a great time of fellowship and helps build lasting relationships.
